Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. Your future Volocopter crew: 
You will join our currently 25 membered team of dynamic technical experts who are enthusiastic in the field of system engineering and flight controls. 
Your mission during this flight:
You are an experienced system engineer in the development of complex systems and are passionate about making a difference in the eVTOL aviation world. You have substantial experience with FCS development, including requirements engineering, and have a profound understanding of the verification and validation aspects in aviation. Within the FCS Integration team, you will coordinate amongst FCS teams and interfaces to ensure successful FCS integration.

Check in your professional skills:

• Degree in engineering in the mechanical, electrical, or aeronautical fields
• At least 5 years of professional experience in complex systems development
• Highly knowledgeable about requirements engineering with requirement management tools like Integrity or DOORS 
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (CS/CFR 25 or 23, SC-VTOL, ARP-4754, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160)
• Experience with complex system troubleshooting

Preferred skills:

• Experience in validation and verification of FBW flight control systems
• Thorough analytical skills, a structured approach to problem solving, and an eye for details
• Desire to take challenges and to learn new skills
• Excellent team player and high sense of accountability
