Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Your mission during this flight:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ground Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of the safe, cost-effective, and punctual running of our allocated station's or bases' operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining local relationships at nominated base(s) and satellite airports from airport and handling to state departments.

As the most senior representative of VCAS at the nominated locations, you will represent VCAS at a senior level on both operational and commercial matters. You will lead and manage the airline's ground handling suppliers and airport companies to deliver targeted performance outcomes in all areas of safety, compliance, cost control, operational performance while ensuring that ground handling companies comply with VCAS safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure scalable growth for the nominated base(s) in all areas including startup of new operational locations.
• Manage cost in line with budget while delivering ever lower cost operational solutions.
• Identify new opportunities for operational improvement/cost savings.
• Participate in internal/external quality/compliance related cross-functional projects.
• Undertake station visits/audits/trainings as well as follow up on outstanding items within confines of Ground Operations processes.

Check in your professional skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in aviation industry.
• Proven experience working towards company KPIs within aviation industry (primarily operational but also commercial).
